Splash Screen (initial design)

 

At the Feb 2006 Kepler Dev meeting, we decided to add a simple splash screen with no animation etc that will display when Kepler is started up. The first is the initial design with rounded corners but apparently Java doesn't handle transparent images well so the second is a rectangular version.

Welcome Screen (preliminary design)

 

One of the prioritization items decided on for Release 1.0 was to do away with the web page and open Kepler to a blank worklflow canvas. But we also decided to insert a simple Welcome dialog that at the least pointed to some of the documentation. In the future we plan to add pointers to some online tutorials here also.

NOTE: The welcome screen title bar should not contain min and max controls.

2/22/2006 updated welcome screen so that links reflect document names and not user classification

3/23/2006 Links for User Guide and Workflow Cookbook need to be removed since those will not be ready for Release 1.0.
