Proposed Semantic Annotation Dialog - ON HOLD because of results of formative design exercise with users which indicates a desire for a simple dialog

 

Design Rationale:
  • Overall, offer one stop shopping for annotations and provide supporting decision-making information.
    • Display current annotations of target(s).
    • Search ontology for annotation terms.
      • Display term definition
      • Display term parents, children and siblings.
      • Display term properties/ranges.
      • Display other objects with that annotation term.
    • Provide both list and tree view of search results.
    • Provide access to a “browse” view.
    • Provide access to a “graphical” ontology view.

 

NOTE: This design is not complete. Recent feedback from San Diego AHM (Oct 2005) needs to be added.
